Description

This trumpet features a unique bell and lead pipe assembly. It has a standard weight Temby 725 yellow brass bell with a 5″ bell diameter. This bell has an earlier taper and is similar in dimensions to a traditional 72 style bell, but with a larger 5″ rim. The horn produces a broad, dark tone capable of great dynamic contrast. It is equally suitable for intimate solo settings or large concert halls.

To create extra versatility and faster response, the custom #4 has a sterling silver lead pipe. Sterling silver helps to produce brightness and improved projection. The braceless tuning slide provides the player with an open blow and wide note targets.

This horn is fitted with German made MAW valves, which are not only very smooth and fast, but they also offer an even more open airflow. The player will feel increased connectivity between notes, and thats a very positive addition.

Overall, this is a horn that has a broad and rich tone with a solid core to the sound. It is responsive whilst having a nice open blow.

This trumpet is now under the ownership of Emily Johnson who is enjoying it as her “jazz horn”.
