"A few years back I was asked to book some special guests for the late night Jazz I ran at The Melbourne International Brass Festival. I immediately thought of the man who inspired me so much through my career. That man was Bob Venier. His sound and musicality on the trumpet gave me real direction and continue to inspire me to this day. On the gig, Bobby told me his newly acquired Temby trumpet was the best horn he had played.

I have tried all three types of the Temby trumpet and as you would expect, the finishes have a bearing on the tonal quality but some things remain constant. These horns are well balanced and finished to a very high standard. They are very comfortable to play and the intonation was spot on in all the horns I tried. They lock up well between intervals and are very even over the whole range of the trumpet.

Less effort for better sound, more volume and projection, valves that are smooth and reliable, water keys that do not leak, slides that slide. 3 year warranty backs all this up. -
What is - M, ML, L bore? +
This refers to the bore (tubing) size. M - Medium, ML - Medium Large, L - Large. Temby trumpets are all ML - medium large bore because this provides best airflow, sound, response for most players from beginners to professionals. Different finishes change the sound a little - please refer to the trumpet pages of the site.
