"A few years back I was asked to book some special guests for the late night Jazz I ran at The Melbourne International Brass Festival. I immediately thought of the man who inspired me so much through my career. That man was Bob Venier. His sound and musicality on the trumpet gave me real direction and continue to inspire me to this day. On the gig, Bobby told me his newly acquired Temby trumpet was the best horn he had played.

"Your Temby Trumpet is FABULOUS!!!! I love my sound when I play the shows. I have played many good horns, but my TEMBY TRUMPET is the greatest and most responsive trumpet I have played...EVER!!!! My sound is FAT and I can soar to the highest notes with ease and a nice full sound!"

Bob Venier now plays his own Temby Vintage Custom "BV" model trumpet with Marcinkiewicz 3/3c concert hall mouthpiece. Recognised as one of Australia's leading trumpet players, Bob has been in constant demand as both a studio session musician and a jazz soloist for the last three decades.

Award-winning composer & arranger, Eric Bolvin is one of the industry’s busiest working trumpeters and exceptionally well known and respected as a teacher, composer and publisher of brass-related methods, now plays a Temby Vintage model Trumpet (Bob Venier model).
Detroit Michigan trumpet pro - Tim Priddy spent the day with David Temby in February 2010 and ended up loving this horn so much that he purchased it.
Normally, after a 41 year career playing trumpet, one could usually assume that a player would have found the correct set-up (mouthpiece and horn). David Temby proved me wrong on that one!
Australian trumpet icon - Bob Venier play tests 3 Temby professional trumpets. Here, he demonstrates and talks about the differences in models - Vintage, Custom and Custom Cryo
I have tried all three types of the Temby trumpet and as you would expect, the finishes have a bearing on the tonal quality but some things remain constant. These horns are well balanced and finished to a very high standard. They are very comfortable to play and the intonation was spot on in all the horns I tried. They lock up well between intervals and are very even over the whole range of the trumpet.
