BREAKING NEWS!!!

Dane laboyrie .... Temby Trumpet Artist:

"I’m very excited to announce that you can now try (and buy) my very own custom model Temby trumpet at Play Wind & Brass, Annandale (formerly “The Music Place”) which has been Designed / hand assembled by David Temby.

David & I spent a heap of time working through his entire range of trumpets to develop this versatile horn to cover a range of stylistic applications from playing lead trumpet in a big band to creating a warm, beautiful and unique sound in a small ensemble with minimal effort ! (When I’m feeling good 😂)

I hope you’ll love it as much as I do" 🙌🏼🎺🙂

Michael Buckley (The Corrs, The Cranberries, The Frames) checks out Temby Flutes a couple of years ago - very impressed! The saxophone and flute star of the Irish jazz scene, horn player and composer, Michael first came to prominence in 1984 when, aged thirteen, he played flute with the legendary saxophonist George Coleman in the National Concert Hall in Dublin. He has toured the world four times with The Mingus Big Band, Dave Liebman, Kenny Wheeler, Lee Konitz, Grant Stewart, Ingrid Jensen, Florian Ross, The Cranberries, The Corrs, soloist with the BBC big band, Louis Stewart and Gerard Presencer among others. ... Thank you soooo much David
I'm in love 😍 🎷

Having recently moved somewhere regional my choices were not the same as when I lived in Sydney. I wanted a really good horn and fell in love with the Australian touches to this pro horn, pearl inlay from WA and all the rest.

I am impatient and wanted the horn to play in three working days time! No problem it is here a day later sounding and feeling amazing.

David helped me select the right mouthpiece and I opened the beautiful flight case to find some beautiful jazz reeds, a transposing clip on tuner, a neat padded gig neck strap and cork grease ready to go.

Thanks Angus Bullough for your guidance

Life is too short to be boring so I chose a handcrafted PINK horn. Bring on the fun

David Temby - Temby Australia

Tomorrow night @ Bennetts Lane - a real treat! Temby Trumpet Artist Gianni Marinucci with the wonderful Colin Hopkins Frank Di Sario and Tony Floyd. Together as one!

Marinucci/Hopkins/DiSario/Floyd [email protected]Jan 27, 8:30pmBennetts Lane Jazz ClubLongtime collaborators and melodic stylists Colin Hopkins (piano) and Gianni Marinucci (trumpet/flugelhorn) were joined by Frank DiSario (acoustic bass) in March 2015 for a live recording of a MJC, which has been subsequently released as an independent album. They will be joined by drummer Tony Floyd for this concert, and will perform mostly original material as well as some jazz standards.

Dr Tony Gould has this to say about the Marinucci/Hopkins duo: "I have had the great pleasure for many years of listening to Gianni and Colin as a duo, but also as players in various other settings. They are both glorious musicians. They have a remarkable sense of musical time and space, and an uncommon sense of melody: incredibly refreshing."

Presented by the Melbourne Jazz Coop (MJC) - thanks Martin!
